To mark the end a great year for the Food Innovation Team, Sally-Ann, Damon and Andrew took chefs Andy Baldwin, Helen Baily, Carl Kirkby, Jon Callaghan, Jon Harper, Andy Betts and Elisa Jade Graton to the big smoke to tantalise their taste buds at London’s Borough market.The team spilt up into groups and wandered through this wonderful market to discover the fantastic fresh produce on sale. Truly a chef’s dream with everything from artisan breads to exotic seafood, meat and poultry. Even shots of fresh wheatgrass with Damon being the first to try this trendy superfood drink!
The visit was a huge success and enabled our chefs to look at new trends and innovation for the coming year. Jacqui Mee, Director of Food said: “this visit was a fabulous way to end the year and has given the team inspiration for 2015. The team came away with bags of produce to take home and work with.”
