To support their quality fresh food offer, Olive have expanded their Food Innovation Team. The new appointment sees Olive Support Manager, Pedro Vega Fuentes, promoted to Food Innovation Chef. Pedro brings a wealth of experience as he joins the successful Team to work alongside talented Chefs: Daniel McNairney and Robert Swinfen.

Olive’s Food Innovation Team are headed up by Director of Food, Jacqui Mee. The purpose of the Team is to ensure delivery of the highest possible food standards throughout every one of Olive’s contracts. The Team looks to emerging food trends for inspiration and creates bespoke food concepts for Olive clients and customers. New food concepts are delivered throughout the business all year round and are always a huge hit. The Team also work with Olive Team Members to deliver group training sessions and provide one to one culinary coaching.
Pipeline projects for the Team this year include: ‘Deli bar revivals’; ‘Caribbean Street Food’; and adding a twist to old school classics such as the mid-week roast dinner and fish Friday’s. They have also been working on sustainable food projects to educate Team Members and customers about reducing and repurposing waste from fresh food.
The Food Innovation Team is an investment that can be measured by the consistent quality of Olive’s food offer. Coupled with their high client retention it proves itself as valuable contract support year on year. The addition of Pedro to the Team will allow more innovation for clients and bolsters their mission statement ‘to be the independent workplace caterer of choice’.
