School
praised by TV chef, Mary Berry
19 October 2006
Television cook Mary Berry has praised a school
for its creative and healthy approach to food.
The celebrity chef was invited to a cake-tasting event at St. Dominic’s
Priory School, in Stone, which coincided with the town’s Food and
Drink Festival.
The school recipes proved highly unusual, with lemon and parsnip drizzle cake,
chocolate and courgette bake and cherry and beetroot loaf up for grabs.
The school and contract caterers, Olive Catering, have recently launched a new
healthy menu and were keen to give their special guest a glimpse of what’s
on offer.
